Climbing Mount Elbrus in Russia is supposed to be a piece of cake. Well, through the South route anyway. Its northern border route on this mountain is definitely an entirely different challenge. A suitable mountaineering experience unlike say Kilmanjaro. Climbing Elbrus involves quite a bit of preparation from your physical, mental and logistical perspective.
